Desires of Things=useful or useless?

I'm in bed supposed to be sleeping. I really should but I just wanted to write a blog since I haven't written one in soo long! I'm using my itouch. it's fustrating because these keys ae so tiny. Are my fingers that big? I'm starting to wonder if I should let my cousin buy the sgh 480. Its a touch phone that looks pretty cool but obviously looks aren't everything. Take this iPod for example, before i got it I thought it was soo awesome based on it's looks. I sometimes feel that I deserve a new phone right now. Not that anything is wrong with the phone I'm currently using. Just the thought of getting something beTter than what I have now is always exciting. You know? This past week has been filled with an excitement in the air yet a stressful time with teachers trying to get tests and projects and all that stuff in before the christmas break or as they put it nowadays winter break. I am so ready for Christmas break you don't even understand. Unless you are me. I don't get how some people can go to school all year round, I would probably die not literally of course. So the main reason why I'm still up writing at one AM Is the desires of human beings. I don't understand why God made us to just work and buy stuff to fulfill that desires of ours. Even when it may look appealing at that moment, but wouldn't benefit us in any way in the future as in 30 years from now? There's this one poster that you can think about: thirty years from now it doesn't matter what jeans you wore, what hairstyle you had or what clothes you are wearing. That is definitely a true statement. So are we made to honor ourselves and fill us with possesions that we won't be taking with us when we must either go to heaven or hell? Why do some people spend $300 for a Chanel hand bags or coach sunglasses? Sure they may look cool now but it definitely won't last forever. One day the color of that piece of garment will fade or the fabric may tear. It's not just the clothing this also goes for electronic devices. Cell phones and iPods...people try to get the best of it all including me! Not trying to be a hyprocrite but Im curious about materials and what their purpose on earth is besides making our life easier. What do you think about this topic? SNOWBALL Dance

Mood: Mad-ish. So tonight, there was supposed to be a snow ball dance. Not literally a snowball dance.."Snowball" is the name of the 09 Winter Dance. But, it got canceled! Because the administration said that you have to sell at least 200 tickets to have this dance. Guess how many STUCO sold? They sold 195. But it was still canceled.. that's a little messed up there..don't you think? This incident happened last year too. Alot of people (some not even in STUCO) put time and effort to make the dance work by staying after school everyday to make posters and just prepare for the dance. Why did the administration have to tear down what they put in? At 2:49, the administration canceled it because apparently there wasn't enough tickets sold. Actually, there were more than enough tickets sold, (200+ tickets) but they were sold after 3rd lunch. Which no one told STUCo that they couldn't do that. I really think its messed up. Administration being lazy and not wanting to spend their Friday for students trying their very best to make an amazing dance..*sigh* What is it with thEIR generation?

Re-calling the excitement of December!!!

Here's something you can picture: Earth slowly turning away from the sun. Leaves starting to disappear..as trees become naked with their bare bark dark, not dead.. so yeah.. you know whats coming?---> WINTER is here(eek)!!! My experience of the first of Dec. of 09 I could tell that December was here even if no one told me. The winds were coming in today...like a bundle of icicles that sink into your bones and makes your body shiver all over. *BRRRrrr* Okay..maybe I'm exaggerating a little too much for the day time..but at night it was not "pretty" cold it was FREEZZZZING COOOOOLD! But that doesn't make me less eager for Christmas. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. I love it mainly because its the time of year that we celebrate Jesus' birth. And we get to gather with our families/friends and exchange gifts! NO ScHOOL is another BiG + (plus). I can't wait for the winter break! Thanksgiving break was as awesome as any awesome can get. Imagine what Christmas Break is like! :) But, before that break..I have some things to do..here's a list of the

~THANKSGIVING Night~

SO..where to start? Well..thanksgiving dinner took place at church as I've said in the blog before. (Springfield CHinese Church, in case you forgot=) Our transportation was the red mini van which included my dad-the taxi driver-, my mom-the shotgun-, Helen [my cousin]+ her mom, and Aunty "M" (a nickname Helen & I gave our other aunt.) We got there around 5:15ish, it starts at like 5:30 I think. Not much people were there yet...Then I had to go downstairs & play the keyboard. Pastor (worship leader) wanted to go over the songs with the worship team. Everyone filled in the church fairly quickly and ate till they're stomachs could eat no more. Afterwards, everyone went downstairs to sing some worship songs. And the show begins. The younger kids went first and sang some songs. Next up was the Youth-starting from left to right in the picture- Helen(BRIGHT ORANGE/purrrrple), Me(YELLOW), Luke (Green) Daniel, (Bluee), John, (Red) and Jimmy (Orange). We performed out skit/song that we been preparing for weeks. Like the picture? :P After that we all just went upstairs and danced the night away. Well..not everyone danced but still...that's basically my whole Thanksgiving Day! Hah. :P How was your Thanksgiving? Hope you had a good one!

THANKSGIVING DAY!!!~

The picture above is what my mom and I made for Thanksgiving dinner. We're going to Springfield Chinese CHurch to celebrate Thanksgiving tonight. I'm soo excited! :D The sushi looks as yummy as it tastes!!! ^_^ Everyone is supposed to bring a dish to share..kinda like potluck you know??? My dad was the one who suggested to make sushi since its easy and everyone loves it. <3 It turned out to be a masterpiece. :) Awesomeness eh? Anywhoooo, I'd like to express all the things I am thankful for, but before that I wanted to let you know that I am a Christian. Therefore, God is always my Numberr ONE!!! No one & nothing beats him. A Lil Introductory of Lisa Luu (=Just 4 u=)

My name's Lisa..if you haven't figured out already. =P I love to listen to music and play it. I play both piano and violin. I have a passion for dancing-any styles-and singing is something I've always enjoyed. There is so much more about me that I don't think I should disclose right now because I don't wanna overwhelm you with that much information. I know how it feels..today was my first Peer Mediation Training. For those who don't know what Peer Mediation is,

"its a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) or "appropriate dispute resolution", aims to assist two (or more) disputants in reaching an agreement."

[not exactly the best source since anyone can hack into it and make up info] At Glendale, the place of the peer mediation training, I was bombarded with so much information that my head might actually explode(not literally, but it does hurt a lil.) I suckk so much at it..lol. Hopefully, I will get better with practice and time. The cool part is that I know it will change many other people's lives. Besides the fact that my head was close to explosive, today was the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL because its THANKSGIVING BREAK!!! =D I am soo ready for a break. You have no idea how happy I am just because of no school for ONE WHOLE WEEK!!!!!!(:
